Dr. Rene Botnar, Head, Biomedical Engineering Department, Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging, King’s College, London. Dr. Botnar received his PhD from the ETH Zurich. From 1996-97 he was a Research Associate in the Department of Radiology at the University Zurich. In 1997, he joined the Cardiac MR Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School where his research was focused on the development and clinical validation of novel MRI sequences and molecular contrast agents for coronary artery lumen and plaque imaging.
